Client: Portsmouth City Council
Location: 89 Shadwell Road, North End, Portsmouth
Date: Start 2nd October 2017 – 2nd March 2018, Duration 20 weeks.
Description of the Project: 89 Shadwell Road Full Refurbishment

The full internal strip & refurbishment to the property with external drainage, groundworks, roof repairs, and redecoration. Situated in a busy one-way traffic road, within a  residential area, mainly built of private residents and HMO properties in the heart of North End.

Written communication provided to the neighbours and up to 10 houses on either side and both sides of the toad to our property, keeping all informed of developments. Good communication with residents/liaisons formed part of the successful scheme providing a point of contact and explaining our activities. The immediate neighboring property is also a care home, meaning we had to be extra sensitive to noise and activities throughout the working day.

The project experienced no security issues or parking complaints during the works.

Project handed over in the agreed times and within the agreed budget to a high standard of work. After the 12 months defects period the defects were only limited to shrinkage of plaster leading to minor decoration works, completed in one visit.
